Side Effect:

Deep pain that can be felt in your bones

Hack:

I use a pain management combo of Claritin and Aleve. I don’t know why this combination works, but it does. I start taking them the day before treatment and I start hydrating two days before treatment. Drinking half my body weight in ounces of purified water per day for maximum hydration. This combination helps with pain.

Hack:

I use boric acid suppositories, as needed. I also monitor my vaginal pH because I want the right bugs and vaginal flora. I also use a vagisil sensitive cream with an anti fungal mixed together. Vaginal irritation is possible related to the steroid use I am on to boost my immune system

Dry Skin

Hack:

Baking soda baths. Taking these baths helps your skin to feel really soft and moisturized. It also helps promote detoxification within the lymphatic system so it can better process the chemotherapy.

I like drinking beet juice and eating beets. I also take Smooth Move Tea on occasion as well as SeneKot S that’s a pill form of stool softener. I’ll take an overnight cleanse pill that’s mostly magnesium if I really can’t go. Something like Milk of Magnesia, Magnesium Citrate, and Miralax all will do the trick.

Side Effect:

Mouth sores & dryness

Hacks:

I swish with a mixture of 8oz of water and 1tsp fo baking soda & salt multiple times per day. I was also prescribed the “magical mouthwash” I can dab that on the sores and gargle/swallow to help with my esophagus.

AYR saline spray and nasal gel. I take the nasal gel and apply it to a q-tip to moisturize my nostrils. <<CLICK HERE>>
